I have been working on a lot of commissions as of late... thus the lack of posts. Anyway, I painted this very sad moment of life. This happened this past year. My family went in and stayed late at the hospital watching and waiting as a generation passed on. It was very surreal. But it was also very real. I painted this from memory, but it is very clear in my head so it looks right to me.
This is very touching. More often than not, these moments have a subtle initial impact, but over time makes you think twice about many things. It is captured well.
